K2 is absolutely right all of the cans in this image are the same ones side in Arabic the other side in English, and definitely the Coca-Cola logo is recognized both ways in Egypt. I Just had 18 hours traveling back to the USA, but next year when I go back I'll try to enlarge the collection great idea.

Lydia I took the liberty and wrote your name in Arabic -use link above to see it (Hijazy Decorative Font)- the same way As it will sound in English. You wouldn't like it if I call you Khadijah or Fatma ... Do you? ;-) cheers~Mahmoud

I'm sure the original logo is recognized, but it's unreadable to anyone unfamiliar with the Latin alphabet. Coca Cola retail with multiple localized logos.. written in Chinese, Hebrew and many more.
The can here was originally that of Coca Cola in Egypt I believe, and I suspect it has the original logo in Latin lettering on the other side of the can. Great collectors items :)

Ahh. Ok. I'm confused, though. I would think that the Coca-Cola logo would be recognizable by almost the entire world. And if the folks who speak another language can recognize the sounds of how it's pronounced in its original language... why go to the trouble to get it written in their own language in English sounds? Confusing.
But, I still like the photo. *grin* ~Lydia

Thank you both for your kind words. Lydia the Arabic writing on the can like some names does not have any translation, it is just the sound of the word Coca-cola.~Mahmoud
