Agree fully with Lonnit: the post-processing make the shot a stand-out. Well done!

Brent & Alistar - Go for it, Same prop same concept, different interpretations is what this Challenge is all about. No harm here...

Oh, and I LOVE the processing! Excellently done. ~ Lonnit

HO HO HO!!! Good one! I'd normally say don't blow the highlights, but somehow that's appropriate here! LOL! ~ Lonnit

Very nicely done. This was my first idea for a shot too, so now I have to think of something different.

So I am wondering if you think there is room for another "powder" shot in the gallery Barry? Mine is sufficiently different I think :-)

Hey now, I just know what I know from the movies :)

Thanks for the critiques - I had originally started to go with an unprocessed version but in playing with the image, I felt the nature of the over processed, 'amped' colors was fitting for the subject matter. The heavy blue tones are coming from having my camera on the incandescent WB setting and using a flash (i think).
You're right about the whites - but my twisted sense of humor found it fitting that my 'blow' was blown-out.
I'll post the untouched version in exhibition for comparison critique.

Thanks - Barry

I'm with you, Sharon. Sheltered. Barry, I like the idea... the colors seem off to me and the whites blown. I'd like to see the can in its traditional color... seems to be part of the trademark almost to me. It's sharp, though. and the blue is cool. ~Lydia

I must lead a very sheltered life, this idea never occurred to me! Great idea though! It may be my monitor but it looks like the whites are blown in this. Nonetheless, good work, Barry! ~Sharon

Nicely done Barry, but boo hoo you stole my thunder! :-) I got some baking soda and razor blades in the way home from work and thought I would go to the pub tonight and setup my shot tomorrow. Then I come home and see this fine image. Oh well, my idea was actually a bit different- so maybe there is room for another cocaine related shot in the gallery? Well done :-)
