This reminds me that everything depends on your point of view, doesn't it? Comparing this shot to the one now in pending, I mean :) This IS great! Jim H.

What a great smile Frank has! And those thumbs!! I do think I like the one in Pending better although he doesn't look quite so cheerful in that one. You certainly have a way with animals Lydia! ~Sharon

I did not alter his expression at all... He's just a happy guy. :) The other one's in Pending, Tom. ~Lydia

Frankly, my dear......... he doesn't really look mad to me.

Puleeeze Lydia. Put him back or drop it in Pending for me. This guy is unnaturally cheerful. Now how did you do that...? -tv
Canon DSLR Challenge03-Mar-2008 19:06
LOL, Penny. No... but I do agree that it's odd that both were named Frank in a two day period. All frogs everywhere are called Frank. Didn't you know that? *wink* And the fish... I didn't name that one. But, to separate them, we call them, Frank the Frog and Frank the Fish.

Actually now that I think about it... we don't call either one of them really... Frank the Frog is in the pond and Frank the fish can't be found after his release... We've searched. There's no place for him to be. I hope no one ate him. *sigh*
Oh... and we have cats named One and Three... but that's a whole 'nuther story. *grin*

I've swapped out the photos for this one that I like better... although he does look kinda mad, huh? (The original is in Pending.) ~Lydia

I hope "Frank" doesn't mind the attention. And - I have to ask - do you name all the pets in your house Frank? (i'm pretty sure you have a newly aquired goldfish by that name as well.)
Anyway, the little eyes peering out over the top are vey cute but the fact that you can actually view the whole of him through the dish is great. It sounds as if his day of excitement could run a close second to yours.

Thanks, Tom! Please help yourself. But, hurry. I found another one I like better of Frank for "Centered Composition". (If you miss it, I'll certainly email it to you... ~Lydia

This is great Lydia. A nomally impossible to capture shot of a common creature becomes an almost exotic animal National Geographic-like experience. It encapsulates the natural characteristics of the frog even in its unnatural, temporary environment. I feel a child-like facination with the eyes and the suspended animation floating posture - very relaxing. Maybe I'll put up next to my workstation, if you don't mind. -tv

Nico, that was his expression of joy. It was also his expression of frustration. It was also his expression of appreciation when I took him out of where he was trapped in the pool skimmer and then photographed like a rock star and released onto a rock at my pond afterwards... flies and fish aplenty. *smile* ~Lydia

Shame. I cannot help to feel sorry for the little guy... he (or she?) looks so depressed! :-) Regards Nico

Ouch. Sorry, Fly. *grin* ~Lydia
