Thanks for all the nice comments, everyone. All credit to Lyn and to Julie. ( This same team helped me with my entry for the 10x4 challenge:http://www.pbase.com/cslr_challenge/image/92398137 ) Michael, I had a quick look at the original RAW file before attempting to answer your question: I would say it is 80% simply fantastic skin complexion, 10% help from make-up and 10% skin-editing. (I cloned out a few minor blemishes and stray hairs and some minor selective gaussian blur.) Thanks again. Kind regards Nico

I like the centering of the eye - very classic in portraiture. (See Mona Lisa). The diverted look gives it a theatrical feel. -tv
