Planebow

En route - Guernsey - Jersey - Guernsey

The moisture in the air that is causing this halo is the very same moisture causing fog at my destination, which is why this plane had turned back to its port of departure and why I'm now posting this from home, having almost got to work. Obviously I boosted the colour to emphasise the effect.

Thanks Bob / Nico. The strange thing is, because I travel SE in the morning (a few hundred times over the last 8 years), this effect must be happening behind the plane and I've never seen it due to facing forward. But because the plane turned back, I was travelling NW which meant it was visible. -Najinsky

Thanks for the explanations... one is never too old to learn something new! :-) Nicely captured too.
