I did some research on this building (I work for a structural engineering firm) and we think this is actually a Chrysler building add-on. That would definitely explain the art deco facade. Built in the 1930's probably.

I like the overlay of the lines, pole or whatever this is. The result is an optical effect almost like mirrors. I've tried to shoot this building but there are always obstructions - which you have incorporated effectively into the image. -tv
