OK, re-shot this and fixed the blown highlights, .. I think. I have a personal relationship with each one of these logs. I straddled every one for 1-1/2 hours peeling and skinning them with a peeling spud (bark) and draw knife (to get the cambium layer off). The cambium tissue turn dark brown (see around knots) when it dries, if it isn't removed. You can see my draw-knife marks on the surface of each log. Thanks again for the comments, -mikey

Thanks for the comments, y'all. TomD, I love it. Sharon, you could say that. There is not a clear definition of "blown highlights" that I could find, but I may reshoot this tomorrow and meter those "over-lit" highlights. "B^D) This is purely natural light from the windows. Brent, I'm really liking this one. Cheers, -mikey

Cool shot and great house Mikey. I guess what Sharon sees I see too, but somehow it didn't come to mind when I first saw it and it doesn't really bother me. I want a fisheye too.

What fun, Michael! I am glad to see you using your wonderful house as a subject! I like the warmth of this. This monitor is not good for looking a images, have you blown some highlights here, or is it just my computer? ~Sharon
