Wow Kelly, now that is what I call patience! I reckon that accurately reflects what was in their brain at the time PF was writing lyrics? ;-)

Terrific work Kelly, love that transform function.

Thanks Yuvraj and Lelanie for commenting.

Melanie - Sorry for being too brief. After the figure was selected and residing on its own layer, I created a new layer and drew a single line (in red) on its own layer. Next I copied that layer, Ctrl+t (transformed that layer) and rotated the copy 60 degrees. Then repeated that procedure so that there were three lines, each on their own layer and then placed them so that they all intersected at a common point and then merged these three layers calling it grid. From this point, I then constructed the basic module using the previously cut out figure by copying and transforming the figure five times and arranging them as shown below. With the grid layer and module layers linked, I then began copying them and placing them so they were in perfect alignment with the grid. Let me know if that doesn't answer your question. - Kelly

So very cool, I love this. Thank you for sharing the process. I'm still not entirely sure how it all came together, but I might try playing at such a thing sometime. --mlynn

Hi Lydia - Thanks for asking. The figure that is repeated thousands of times in this spacey pattern is an intentionally blurred figure in a snow storm - see below. After cutting out the figure, I created a module of six figures and then repeated the pattern on triangular grid until it filled the 20" x 20" canvas - that was level 1. After copying the the level 1 group, I transformed it by scaling it down 70% and then copied the module a few more times to fill the canvas again for level 2. And so on and so on down to level 5. For levels 6 and 7, I merged all the figures onto one layer and then used the clone tool to fill out the canvas. Then I adjusted the opacity and applied a Gaussian blur to each layer in varying degrees adding a final layer with a radial gradient. - Kelly

That's me acting like a snow monkey ;)

Cool, Kelly! What are those things? Did you paste them all in? Really cool look. ~Lydia
