At the end of a marvellous studio shoot

I asked Nezette to play along for a "low and wide" shot.

Self-criticism: not as sharply in focus as I would have liked.

Thanks, Melbob, for the kind words. Yes, I also shot this without flowers and although the image then has a kind of appeal in its own right, it certainly did not have the "punch" that the flowers brought to it. In retrospect the yellow flower far right was placed very badly... too close to the edge. It should have been a little lower and to the left, filling in some of the white space there. Oh, well, we live and we learn. Regards Nico

Sweet Bejebus, I just looked at your model galleries and you are such a frickin` genius, Nico, really! From the simple to Julie, Julie and Julie...you can....catch something real, something alive in your models...yes, I know it's them, but it is you also...and they, your models, must love you for the way your camera treats them with such respect and...beauty. Interesting portrait in that the flowers produce a 'moderating ' affect by drawing the eye away from 'that.. foot' which, as you say is not very 'flattering' for Nezette. Good DOF here Nico and a very well composed work of art. ~ Regards Melbob
