Synergy

I love to shoot subjects created by joint human/God/Nature efforts

this greeted me while snow shoeing on Mt. Shasta
at around 9,000 feet last spring. The altitude and polarizer
combined for the deep blue sky.

It was only a few days after the Virginia Tech massacre
and my first photography foray out since it had happened.
Somehow this image seemed to commemorate the victims in a way

A magical capture.
Love the hints of rainbow colors.

The aspect of this image that intrigues me is the illustration of differing altitudes with the contrail above the darkest cloud - with the darkest cloud's shadow cast on the lower wispier cloud. The iridescence is cool too. - Kelly

Well done!
Actually the polarizer did more than the deep blue of the sky here. You wouldn't have gotten the rainbow color iridescence in the primary and secondary halo without the CP.
