I am not too sure whether the photograph is a "legal" entry here:


(a) Amy-Louise was photographed sitting in front of a large octabox - see http://www.pbase.com/jnconradie/image/89061010 for a wider view - but also lit with two other lights. Does this count as "backlighting"?


(b) It was shot early Friday, before the actual challenge topic had been announced. Does that make it ineligible?

Thanks for the feedback. I leave the image here for how, but definitely plan to search for something which brings out the impact of backlighting more strongly. Although perhaps tecnically "backlit", it is more incidental than of primary impact. Kind regards. Nico

reat shot here. Very nice. Thanks for posting the behind the scenes info. That's always fun to see.
(a) The two other lights are not an issue at all. Just perhaps not exactly what I had in mind for the challenge. The effects of backlighting isn't creating a feature on the subject. Maybe if her stocking was partially on and the light was coming through it's texture it would be even more on topic. Still, it's a great shot and I don't want to take anything away from it.

(b)
If shot Friday morning say after 4:00 AM your time(which I think it was ;) you're not such an early early bird are ya? hehe) it should most definitly be ok for Eligible. The challenge usually officially starts at 2am your time, so it took me ~2hours before posting the challenge announcement in the forums. Someone please correct me if I'm wrong. So it's dated for Eligible all right.

Of course it's eligible - nicely done BTW - and here's why quoting Techo's ground rules:

(a) There's no rule about using only a single light source but you can if you wish.

(b) Challenge Starts: Friday, November 16th, 2007 0:00 UTC
