Thank you all for your comments. Melbob - yes as you noticed I did eventually get to grips with a proper infusion method ;-)
Kelly / Nico I couldn't fing any coffee beans in the kitchen so Kenyan instant coffee was the next best. I battled to get the coffee to steam in our wonderful summer here so I opted for the non "liquidised" version and then planted little incense cones into the granule and - voila!!
I like this one better Michael, better composition and the steam and contents add interest.
If I can be of some assistance and suggest that you revisit your coffee recepe?.... most of us ... 'grind' the beams first.... and usually a few less in each cup and then... there is the ... water... HOT water, .... 95 degrees + or - a poofteenth etc... and perhaps an 'infusion' device.... but then... that is probably a little too much information to digest all at once? ;-)
Smokin hot and coordinated spoons too! But now I'm wondering if that's Folgers crystals in your cup? And how did you do the smoke? - Kelly

Thanks for your comments Kelly and Techo. I've taken your comments and made a few changes as you suggested plus a couple more (hopefully for the better). I've moved the previous version to pending for reference. Thanks again for your interest. Michael
My favorite of the three. Some more DOF to get the blue cup in focus and it would've been perfect. Really like the color scheme and especially the choice of blue background.
If anything might be changed, it would be to increase the depth of field and bring the tonality of the background down allowing the strong chroma in the cups and plates to stand out even further.
