Nicely done, Sir! :-) Compliments on a super entry.

Great fun, Bob! There's a real dichotomy between that seriously sinister insect and pastel surround. The reflection/shadow is ever so well done. -Michael

Great PP Bob - you're another person I could take lessons from! These ants are gigantic - I wouldn't want to get bitten by one of these guys! Great image Bob, but a little scary! ;-D CJ

Thanks Jim and Sam. I had to shrink the bean a little but not much, these ants are serious creatures, fortunately they usually wander around alone... unless you sit on their nest?

These are sour ants Sam.... ;-) ~ Regards Bob

Fantastic! The reflection adds to it too. Did you have to cover the bean with sugar to convince the ant to grab it? Just kidding. Sam Attal

That's amazing. It looks excellent. Are the ant and bean in proper proportion? That is one HUGE ant. I don't think I want to mess with it! Even if it did involve a bit of help from Adobe, the effect is great and the idea of ants carrying off coffee beans is frightening. What would a whole colony, pumped up on caffeine, decide to do next? Jim H.

Thanks AussieD... I got the Adobe team to help out here :-)... Actually I shot the ant and the bean separately and blended the two in PS. The little beast wanted to rip me apart... wasn't happy! ~ Regards Bob

Nice and a little creepy at the same time. What is an ant like with a caffeine buzz? How did you get it to pick up the coffee bean? - AussieDawg

Thanks Trav and Kelly' This is a 'Bullant" and it is a big blighter about one inch long and nasty. I trapped this one and it is walking down the side of a glass in this shot. (Spiders are not able to do that?)

I have seen these ants carry things much bigger than themselves. Most ants are much smaller but there is a large range of size and aggressiveness.

Are all the ants down under that big? Or is that something other than an ant? Is it about 3 - 4 cm? (1 1/4" to 1 1/2") - Kelly
