Just You and I and Key Lime Pie

When my younger daughter turned 15, her dad was away
at some disaster or another (literally - he does
disaster management, he's in SoCal right now),
her sister was away at college. This was the first
time it had been just the two of us on her birthday
since she was born :). So I had a little tea party
waiting for her return from school, and we sat there,
ate our pie, drank our tea, and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves
- something too often missing today it seems.

Of course, being in the middle of a Photo-A-Day project,
I had to record the event - lol

Thanks Sam and Melbob :). Yes, Key Lime is very similar to Lemon Meringue only with lime. But it should be made with the "Key" lime - from Florida - which is a different than the more traditional green limes you typically find. Here are some recipes -http://southernfood.about.com/od/keylimepies/Key_Lime_Pie_Recipes.htm
Why don't you introduce it to Australia?? :) Cindy

I feel like just repeating what has alreadfy been said: Priceless, two beautiful young ladies enjoying one of life's magic moments.

And that pie looks scrummy too.... never tried one of those... is it a bit like a "Lemon Meringue Pie" only with lime? ~ Regards Melbob

Wow! Thanks for the hug Lonnit! You know, when I was uploading this I thought to myself "Lonnit is going to like this one. lol!". And thanks for the kind words all of you. They grow up soooooo fast. I hardly get a minute of her time anymore... Cindy

Such a lovely image, so nicely processed, with just as lovely a story to go with it. How wonderful that you were in the midst of the project, because it is so likely that you never would have photographed this wonderful moment otherwise. :) This is a good time for a hug.{{{{{{{hugs}}}}}}}}} ~ Lonnit

I love this shot Cindy, for so many reasons. The gentle p.p treatment, composition and sense of joy, all work together to make a very pleasant image. Julie
