squirrel's eye view by Canon DSLR Challenge

OK, I know vignettes are not popular. In this case it's supposed to give the viewpoint of being inside the squirrel's tree hole.

I'm not fond of the vignette, either, but I really like this photo. It makes me laugh. Perfect DOF... just a wonderful image. ~Lydia

Despite the vignette and the mid-line placement of the squirrel, this image works well. I love the colors, and you worked will with the vertical lines of thirds. That he's looking right into the camera is what really ratchets the image up! Good job! ~ Lonnit

Thanks Melbob; as you & Gerry have mentioned, I wasn't sure of the vignette either. Just seemed like the thing to do for this shot/challenge.

Well done Tom and welcome to the challenge. Great shot using your new toy, excellent camera and lens. It's a different take but it is good to try different compositions and presentations, it certainly helps for this high 'contrast' theme. ~ Regards Melbob
