Unfortunately, the story is pretty mundane. I walked out of my house through the front door and got ready to enter my car when I noticed the caterpillar chomping on my rose. That was my first time seeing this species in my yard. At first I thought it was a tent caterpillar fallen from my neighbor's pecan tree. I don't actually know what species it is yet. -- Victor

Sensational Victor. Excellent contrast and really high impact and great composition. I can blow this up to 500% and no sign of artifacts or halos etc. Plenty of detail and the histogram is almost L shaped without any humps. Very impressive. No substitute for pixels, a good sharp lens and skill. (another candidate for the handicap... ;-( ) ~ Regards Melbob

That's my rose he's eating, by the way. I have another picture of this one with a black wooly bear caterpillar. Unfortunately, it didn't turn out/requires too much PP. -- Victor

I like this, Victor. I like the curves... lined with leaf, it's such a backwards prospect from what one would 'expect' from a caterpillar. ~lydia
