Anya this is beautiful, I like the silky texture of the petals, the crisp focus and detail in the highlights.

As Gerry suggested there is headroom left to push the contrast but that would not add anything to the composition.

After a couple of days thought.......I retract my original comment! If this was the way you intended this shot to be seen then that is the way it should be viewed. It has a good amount of contrast anyway. :) -mcbit

This is a beautifully balanced and detailed photo of the flower, however I feel that the contrast could be pushed a little more especially at the black to achieve the result effect Melbob is looking for. -mcbit
