Fits the theme very well and is nicely processed. Well done. Look forward to seeing more work with that lens. -Najinsky

Mr. Aussie, this is a VERY good moon...well done. And that is the fun of the Challenges, to get us off our butts. And have fun. Best Wishes, Traveller

Thanks for the comments. I have taken some of MelBob and Traveler's suggestions and darkened the sky, pumped up contrast, and I did a smart sharpen with lens blur at .1 to highlight the crater rims a bit more. I also converted to B&W before any processing as I was seeing some blue come through in the large gray craters.

Besides learning from all of the awesome images everyone is posting, these challenges get me off my butt to take the pics and learn more about post processing.

BTW, This was hand held and is a 100% crop.

Great crisp image with good detail Aussiedawg, a feat not easy to achieve.

Good contrast, there is still headroom for the highlights and that might just give it a bit more sparkle without blowing out the highlights. (...only because this is about maximising the impact not necessarily to produce a better image... if that makes sense?)
