And I've also noted that when I'm shooting OOF and everything looks nice and blurry in the view finder that when the lens stops down to f22 a lot of the blur will be lost to the greater DOF.

Thanks, Bob. Actually she is the spitting image of her father, my son Chip. When people looked at Chip as a baby and looked at me they often said I was cloned. But I know that in my case the proper term is "clowned."

And on an additional off topic comment... Last night Sadie "put it together" and started walking on her own. She did it at her Great Grandmother's home. It was a delight to see.

You are right, this is OOF. There is just so little detail actually there I can understand why someone might think this was sharp. As I stated in the challenge header the voters will decide how much is and is not OOF. I was just enjoying the bright colours (or colors ;-) and wanted to capture that.

If anyone is interested, here's a sharp version of the same bowls.

Wow... she has your eyes Pops ... and the same hair... how cute (... and Sadie is cute too... lol) Gorgeous photos.

Now back to this post... we must be so used to the 'canon digital softness' that we can accept this as not really OOF?.... that's a worry?

Love the vibrant colours (and the colors too)... and your lighting..and it is definitely OOF cos I cannot read the label.... so that could be 'our' definition of OOF?

Regards (cheeky) Melbob

I'm with Sam on this...not OOF at all or just a little...but the granddaughter images really are tops. Traveller
