Thanks for all your kind comments, folks. This image is just a small crop from a much larger shot. And even with the 300mm focal length (effective >450mm with my 350D), those buffalo looked quite far away. Also, I used 2 levels of Gaussian blur to make the BG buffalo more OOF. The shot was taken during the annual buffalo roundup at Custer State Park, with plenty of horseback riders and SUVs moving these imposing beasties (more than 1,000 of them) along...and keeping the rest of us from being trampled. --Mary Anne

Mary Anne, I just love this. I didn't see the pinkish version so I can't compare but I don't have a problem with the overall hue on this. Jim H2

Just gorgeous! The subtle lowering in saturation is just great. However would prefer the dust to be more towards orange than pink. -Cat
