K2 was right about her 5 cents worth of confusion :) but for me it turned out to be 10 cents worth, because I did not get a chance the see the original version. Anyway , I am happy with what you have here so whatever you did worked! 8-)

Thanks K2, I can always rely upon you to 'keep me honest' ... lol I do appreciate your suggestions because I really respect your skill and knowledge.

I re-cropped the scene and was more careful to address the 'ROT' in particular with that prominent purple image and also removed those attention seeking bright highlights.

I used a little 'lens blur' to clean up the visible distractions such as footpath tiles etc. but as you say... the original lens blur is hard to replicate in PS... ie: the truth always comes out.

Nice.. there it is :) Those lively random abstractions an OOF lens can provide, and a software blur can't mimic. Crop "advice" is the worst kind.. I often find it incomprehensible. But to add my 5 cents to the confusion: The bright yellow spots along the top attract my attention.. perhaps crop so just the bottom of the rightmost is visible. It could make the diagonal drift in this image stronger, place the purple spot closer to a 1/3 grid... and then again.. I may be wrong of course ;)
