The Question here, for me, is to what degree am I willing to obscure this woman's beauty? I have a B&W high contrast version that maybe meets some artistic Criterion better, but I, as a person, am just not willing to go there...at least not yet. So I'll stick with this.

I like this one, and perhaps your choice of keeping the color is a better one, I think removing the "focus", an important element, makes us pay attention to all other elements, and color gets higher attention than usual. So removing that too will be a loss than gain, unless its a high contrast photo, which this is not; this is more subtle and soft as it should be. -Cat

I definitely agree this is good Trav, I like the treatment here, it suits this challenge very well. I wouldn't get too hung-up trying to fit the requirements of the theme and the expectations of the subject, because they differ fundamentally. Most 'models' want to see what they feel they should see (ex: blotches et al) but want crisp, sparkling eyes etc.... obviously not on-topic. As you say.... not so easy! ~ Regards Melbob

Traveller, Of the three versions of Cutie Pie this is my favorite. There is enough detail here for me to clearly understand what I'm looking at and enjoy the image. At the same time there is enough lack of detail here to think that this might be my sister. This photo gets me personally involved. Keep experimenting!
