Thanks for the compliments Melbob and Jeansebs!!! Bob, Yes I am lucky that lens did well for this shot. This is an older lens (5+ years), I hear the recent versions of this lens is really good, with IS and all. This little fellow is very fast and so sensitive to human presence and movement that I could not even move my hands without getting noticed. But it did not mind the loud shutter noise of the 20D :-) -Cat

Thanks Nico and Lee! Nico, you are right I did not do birds, or atleast did not post :) This time I got a loner 75-300 lens from a buddy of mine which he is not using currently. F/4.5-5.6, not a very fast one but managable. I find the optics really poor compared to 'L'. My advice, don't get used to 'L' ;-) otherwise you might be disappointed with other lenses. -Cat
