Well, you certainly nailed that look! Wonderful. :) Flickr acct? Really? You've finally started adding images there? Woohoo! I'm on my way to take a peek! :) ~ Lonnit

It was part of a portfolio shoot. The brief was to get some commercial looking images. There are more of this couple on my flickr account if you're interested.

Thanks for the data. Such a super piece! What was it initially shot for? ~ Lonnit

Thanks ISO for the lighting explanation; have to say this is a wonderful wonderful shot. Definitely put a smile on my face the moment I saw it.

Simply Super.

Cheers, Vikas.

Yes - you think too much. Its shot in an orchard :)

I wonder if people notice the green apple in his right hand? A symbol of corruption to come...and free of the normal stain on Eve?

I know, I know, I think too much.

Its lit from the front using a Bowens Explorer 1.5kw pack with a single head and 65 degree reflector right of camera, balancing the exposure against the sun backlighting everything. I've used a Canon 1d as it syncs at 1/500 (and beyond) which is great for controlling the background exposure. Colours have been richened a bit in PS as the 1D/17-40 combination isn't as contrasty as shooting with a 5D

Oh my - this sure delivers. A perfect world :) Captured at just the right moment: the wide angle lens exaggerates his torso and her legs just right.. full match with gender ideals. Great expressions and movement too, not to mention metering, composition, two pretty models, colors, PP... whatever I left out. I suspect there must have been a very happy customer somewhere down the line.

Wonderful!
Excellent lighting!
If I may guess, this could be a single bowen(or some other off-camera strobe) with a mini soft box.

OH simply super. How many strobes did you use for this shot? All on the camera right? Excellent use of flash outside, really fabulous work.

Cheers, Vikas.

Love it! Caught my eye immediately. I've been doing much of this outdoor-with-artificial-light work, and it's been very exciting. I love the look it achieves. The funny thing is that I've always detested flash. Now I understand that flash works best when the average person thinks you don't need it! LOL! It seems to be an indicator of what sets the pros apart from the amateurs. :)

Are they really there or are they studio-lit and inserted? The shadows seen to indicated they are indeed there. ~ Lonnit
