Workin` the Heat

77 year old Clinton Sikes plays for the benefit of Youth Groups...or so he says. I say he's playin` for himself more than anything. He's alive, he's rockin`, he's givin` pleasure...F%^K You, Death.

Yes, I'm trying for an industrial grittiness with the high iso...other adjustments, dodge tool on the trumpet flair, levels to pull down the bright whiteness in the sign, one sign removed.

There is an argument that has been made to me that I talk and write too much about my images...taking away any mystery or projection onto the work itself...an important factor in the appreciation of art.

You know what I say?

See Clinton Sikes` comment above...lol...(But Geeze, do you know how intimidating it is to follow a Puff B&W?...Well, what's gotta be done has gotta be done. {grin})

Best Wishes, Traveller

LOL, don't be intimidated! I posted #30, took a quick look at the B&W gallery and saw another had been posted quickly after me. I took a look at #31 but no "title" and photographer had been posted as yet. I thought, I'm not a betting man but I'd put significant bucks on a bet that this is a "Traveller". Hah, I got it right. This is full of life and character...can't ask for more from good street work. -Michael
