Thank you Michael, Nico, CJ, Pops and Markjay. I like the Ansel Adams quote Pops, very appropriate, one sometimes is lucky enough to be in the right place at the right time. ~ Regards Melbob

Most "rainbow images" I see, are relatively boring... but not this one! The early morning or late day sun, makes the foreground landscape come alive / real and, the rollihg hills in the background give a great perspective and feeling of depth. Markjay

Lovely warm sidelight in this landscape to compliment the rich colours in the rainbow. -Michael

Sprung... yes I cannot tell a lie... twas me! After a hard day's work, captured this on the way home. It was raining and the rainbow was most prominent and one could just make out a secondary one as well. The 5D got a bit wet but for a good cause...lol

Just cropped a little and a little USM applied, to me it is very close to the actual visual sighting. Thanks for commenting Trav., Victor and Julie.

Victor, it is interesting how the conical shape appears .. it is quite strange.... seems to be close yet far away depending upon which part you look at. ~ Regards Melbob

This does look like an Australian scene, maybe in the Yarra Valley, so I go for Melbob. Whoever took it, I like it. Julie

This image is very interesting to me, because, unlike most other rainbow shots, and because of the hills, you can see that the rainbow is really a cone. It's like we're looking down the edge of a quonset, with red being the roof and blue being the ceiling. I also like the relative subtlety of the secondary rainbow. -- Victor
