Hummm....forgive my failing to comment, Bob....since I was always going to vote for this image anyway...I was going to do my comment then. But I was going to vote for the structure, the color....the way it seemed to me to be...Old Man Walking...or...Lonely Strength.

I did not get a sense of pridefullness of its youth....for me it was endurance.

Interesting that we see it so differently. I think that explaining what an image means to us is important....because of these differences in perspective. Thanks for telling us.

Best Wishes, Traveller

Thank you for commenting Julie, Jim, Mary Ann, Lonnit and Victor. This is one of my favourite subjects, I have photographed this tree in several different weather conditions and at different times of the year over the past 4 years. It almost talks to me... lol.

It seems to be telling us that in its youth it was just as green and proud as those along the border? ... ( a bit like me really?) ~ Regards Bob

Looks to me like the tree is bending over at the waist and waving its arms menacingly, its head hung low in a threatening gesture. -- Victor

I've never seen a tree brought to its knees before. Amazing. ~ Lonnit

The tree looks as if it's doing some exotic dance.

That is beautiful. So much to look at and so well composed. Great. Jim H.
