When you think about it, we are all born in captivity. In a sense they are free from worry about poachers and finding their next meal. Interesting take on the challenge. It made me stop and think, and I love images like that!

That's a lovely expression on the young gorilla's face and the image is well cropped/framed to take advantage of it. It can be a highly emotive subject too, but in general I buy the argument that it keeps them safe and allows people to develop a caring instinct via the access and proximity. Certainly had an effect on me when I went to Durrels zoo in Jersey. Regards - Najinsky.
