Crossing Over

Shoal Creek, Georgia

Perhaps no barriers or boundaries are more misunderstood than those found in religion. Self inflicted Borders that separate ideas, wisdom and social tolerance. In the end, everyone must "Cross Over" The final border. What ever lies past this plain of existence before that day arrives, all people living on the "Good Planet Earth" should strive to break and tare down the social and religious barriers between he and his fellow man.

Well first let me tell you Trav, shu & Najinsky that there is a "Hole lot of photo shop going on". Both the cross reflection and what ever you want to call that big glowing thing are lens flair effects that I found in PSE4. The amount of PP involved to clean up the image after applying them had me up very late for several nights as it needed to be L-perfecto. This was a photo that I did to honor my uncle Chuck. I worked on it for about a week each night after I got home and was able to send it to him so he could enjoy it before he passed away. It's original title is "Farther and Son".-GChristie

Excellent title Greg and a great image to convey the subject. I try not to dwell on the final boundary, just long enough to motivate myself to fit as much as I can in before I finally arrive there screaming and kicking!! Regards, Najinsky

I like this as well!! The simplicity of the image and especially the sharp differences between light and shadow is striking! Very nice! shu

I really like this....especially the golden reflection on the Cross. Was that added in PP?
Best wishes, Traveller
