Just to prove you can be just as brilliant in full-colour as in black-and-white! :-)

Super, Michael. It is an amazing piece of work. Compliments and regards. jnconradie

Traveller, that's a fabulous image! When/where/why did you take it? Tell me more.

I fully understand what you are saying and always welcome dialogue (you know that, yes?). I don't think any of us can argue that an image is viewed along with what the viewer brings to it. Sometimes an image will demand that you look at it in a certain way and sometimes it leaves interpretation wide open. But either way, it is filtered through the viewer's life experiences. I feel sure that I err towards the "leaves interpretation wide open" side with the majority of my work. Often I am amazed by the interpretation people give to my work, but likewise I realize that I purposely left the door wide open...it's a choice and I'm comfortable with it.

Re: technical specs, LOL! I used "Cinema Secrets" brand "FX Blood". It's a film make-up blood that is formulated to simulate the "real" thing. It comes in a variety of thinknesses for the special effects make-up artist. The "gel" variety is so thick it will never drip, but the "FX Blood" is pretty good for all around use. It should be available as most theatrical make-up or costume rental places. Note, it DOES stain.

Oh, oh, final comment...your blood is much better than mine...what did you use? Nail polish maybe? Between friends, you don't mind all this talk, do you? Best Wishes, Traveller

Dearest Michael:

First Premise: There is nothing I can do to harm or deflect from your masterful work...sometimes I hesitate to write because I don't want to step on anything that you are doing.

But I think that there is a real lesson regarding criticism or something we all should remember whenever anyone writes in detail or even when they are only offering a verbal opinion...what is that person bringing to the table? What is underlying his/her opinion?

I see this and I go...yes, a perfectly practical murder weapon, a spring loaded blade in the heel of a Stiletto woman's shoe...but that is not what you are meaning at all. I am just bringing too much to the table and I realize this. The fault is in how I as an individual view this picture...and not what is there or how you intend it to be perceived. We should remember this whenever faced with criticism or an opinion on our work.

Still, blade or no, a Stiletto can kill....lol

A different take on your theme.

Best Wishes, Traveller
