The first thing that popped in my mind was that someone is holding a water balloon as it is being popped. This is the shadow on the driveway. Then I thought that it's a bit small, particularly if it's being popped. So maybe it's an egg. Maybe someone threw a rock at the egg or maybe even shot at it with a pellet gun? If this is correct, I'd guess the shot is from left to right. But that can't be right. It's probably someone squeezing a lime or a lemon. Actually, all these guesses seem to be a bit off. -- Victor

It makes me think of some bulb-type plant-thing that has been pulled out of the gound, some roots still attached and held between two fingers to cast a shadow. Something like a radish, perhaps? Interesting!! :-) Regards jnconradie
