Once again it's stunning to see how you create special effects without any special effects. The left hand side of the jug and the creamer seem to be continuous with the white background, while the sugar bowl looks like an abstract round form. It's the viewer's eye that needs to work to make it all out, to shift focus back and forth between the abstract shapes and the real objects. And yet I suspect, knowing your work, that you haven't done any work in photoshop to erase the left hand lip of the jug and creamer, it's all been done in camera, using natural light and the choice of background and objects, am I right? Who was it that said that the purpose of art is to make the familiar strange so that we might apprehend it differently? You do this continually. Thankyou and congratulations on your third place. K
