What an impressive animal. I have never had the chance to see one from really close up... except through a long telephoto lens!! :-)

I like the light here which accentuates the massive body and causes some the detail to be hidden in shadow... nearly as if to keep some a bit obscured from general view. A priavte/pensive moment, perhaps?
