Thanks for the comments. KiKi, I should hire you as my PR agent. :-) I'm not sure what I had in my head when I took this photo. Most likely I wouldn't have paid any attention to whether the horizon was level or not. This photo probably strikes most people differently than me ... I just recall the moment ... the chill in the air, the sunrise being more golden than what this picture captures. Makes me realize I need a vacation soon. Bernie

hmm.. tried leveling horizon, but it kills this picture. The wonderful feeling of space disappears, the chair looks less relaxing, and it becomes just dull and plain. It actually looks outright wrong. The tilt of the shoreline in the original here is a perfect counterpoint to the horizon: An imaginary "straight" horizon the exact median between those lines. The balance of lines here is extremely good actually.. this is an outstanding composition and usage of wide-angle, IMO. The picture as a whole looks like a view from the top of the world, you can see the planet curve and imagine it "goes on forever" to the left. A Front Row Seat indeed. -K2

Nice shot of the end of the day at the beach. I think it might look better with the horizon straightened as it would give a bit more of a casual tilt to the wind blown umbrella. Nice composition and soft tones here too! CJ

Golden hour splendid, such a lovely mood to this. The tilted horizon also does not bother me since it feels like the photographer's compositional choice. That being said, I did pull it into PS and looked at it with a level horizon which I'll admit was my preference. -Michael

Very nice. The horizon doesn't bother me.. the lines add up. And it all adds to that "wide-angle vastness". (I think if you leveled it, the tilt of the sunshade would have looked very odd.) -kiki2
