Art In Paradise

You may be amused to know that I photographed this from a reclining position on my couch, bored with TV I started to look around for objects to shoot for the challenge and, there it was,
this leftover centerpiece from a company party / banquet that was given to us as a gift.

Ha ha... not exactly that scenario :-) Bored with TV, began a hunt for something to shoot for the challenge at home. Reclined on the couch to sit back and look around for a subject, I focused on the centerpiece given to us that had a bird of paradise flower in it. Used photoshop effect ... I think it was called Fresco. Hope that helps? Thank you, Markjay

Now that's dedication for ya?.... Not many of us could boast that they sleep with their 20D and a 200mm lens attached just in case something just 'pops' into view? ... and ... sleep with eyes open? WOW.. I'm impressed. ~ Regards Melbob

NOT something normally lying around our house :-0 It was part of a very elaborate table centerpiece display from a corporate party / meeting and one of our friends was nice enough to bring it to us as a gift. It was sitting on our coffee table for three days (now dead, wilted, and in the trash)

I am of course left wondering....just why do you have Bird of Paridise plants left lying around your chair where you watch tv...lol Still, an interesting take on the theme. Best Wishes, Traveller
