Thank you clearing that Victor, I thought Pointillism dealt with points, independent of color.... Hmmm in that case I think I should change the name. -Cat

Actually, this is an example of stippling, not pointillism. Pointillism had at its essence the use of primary colors in the paints, leaving it to the brain to form the tones. Since the ink here is black, it's stippled. -- Victor

Hey, Thanks Markjay... Yes, this is hard work and time consuming too. Yes, I took the photo and within challenge period, and with a Canon too and I am still learning. About pending... I am a newcomer too and one never knows... ~artIST (art less and IST more :) )

As a teenager, I used to do rapidograph pen drawings with a pointilism system also. So, we can certainly appreciate the work that is involved in your artistic creation. My own work was more MC Escherish so to speak :-) As long as you took this photograph (of your work) during the challenge period, I'n not certain how anyone could / would consider this as belonging in the pending gallery but, I'm still a newcomber around here, what do I know?
