Thank you all for all the wonderful words. I have written a little bit on xray in comments on the other X-ray shot.
I have always shared how-to's in the past in the forum or in the comment for my previous works. I am working on a write up of this technique, but I may not post it here or in the forum this time, as its public access and its visible to more folks outside of our little group. Which is not sitting well with me atleast at this point, sorry. However for those of you who are interested in knowing more on this, I am willing to tell you. Please send me an email at: photocat dot online at gmail dot com and please mention your handle/moniker too so I can recognize you. I will send you all more info. I think that would be safe. Again, I hope you understand. Thank you all for your support.

I too would love to know the secret behind this beautiful image. But then I would try one of my own and just be so disapointed. Thanks for this

This has a very delicate yet striking feel to it.... I love it. I can understand your enthusiasm in contributing this to the challenge, nice work! As for your technique, we should not be expecting any explanation of how you accomplished this but if you were to do so, you'd be advancing the knowledge of many appreciative photographers who are looking to grow and learn. That is partly why some of us (myself included) join in these challenges.... to learn. And those who have seen my photography know I have a heck of a lot to learn yet!

Thank you for participating and great job!

Like delicate 'Oriental Art', really lovely and well composed. I missed the earlier version/s so cannot comment but I really like this version. ~ Regards Melbob

It does look better without the OOF- very pretty image.

OOF fixed! Appreciate your feedback.

I guess I missed the first version. I think I agree with Lonnit on this one. This is a picture where everything in frame should be crisp. -- Victor

I disagree with Lonnit here a little...I can live with the center oof thingy at the center bottom. The two at the far right had to go and are gone...lovely image....lol

This is absolutely gorgeous and I'd love to learn the technique! It looks like the OOF area is one of the bracts (flowers) but my eye is not really drawn to it. Beautiful! CJ

Yes, the OOF area at the bottom is a terrible distraction to such an otherwise fine and pristine piece. ~ Lonnit

Tres Magnifique! You know, I was driving back from what I do for a living today thinking about this image...a high compliment, I think, that it would linger in my mind so.

Be that as it may, would you want to reveal how you acomplished this magical kind of image, what you call x-ray photography? It is truly a wonderful technique. But, I would also fully understand if you kept this to yourself.

I respect the Artist and their decisions in all things...secrets maybe especially.

Best Wishes, Traveller

Thanks for the an honest critique Anonymous and Traveller. It is certainly appreciated!!

Traveller, what do I need to talk you out of your objections to this image?
For starters, can I atleast ask you to look again?

Yes and No...the Wow factor here is imense...I mean this sucker grabs you from the first moment you see the Thumbnail....and yet, the two OOF leaves in the lower right corner trouble me. I've tried cropping it differently on my monitor...I've thought if maybe the Healing tool couldn't add some leafy veins...or something.

This is exactly what I wanted to see posted...Museum Quality work...this is it. Can someone talk me out of my objection to this image? Can the poster? On the up side, this being dogwood and spring being upon us...it can be re-shot.

But please understand, if push comes to shove, I will vote for this image.

Best Wishes, Traveller
