Holy Communion. So I guess that makes me a bartender in a roundabout way.
Canon DSLR Challenge30-Mar-2007 13:22
You mean to say the drink mixer/shaker the bartenders use? -Cat

Well, it does serve something, but not food. Think drink.

is it the top of a cheese shaker OR that garlic shaker thing at the pizza place?
It really would be quite a wacky looking hubcap to put on a car! LOL

Victor, if you just made that up, I better buy a hat so I can take it off for you. That's the wittiest calendar explanation I've heard of a hub-cap... ever. Not to mention a parmesan cheese shaker lol

It's a calendar. The outer band has 18 circles. Twenty of these form the basic year of 360 days, just like in the Mayan calendar. Not counting the inner circle, the innermost band has 7 circles, so represents a week. The middle band is simply two weeks. Each time around the middle band, one or two days is added. A marble is alternately placed on and removed from the center hole. If a marble is present, two days are added. Otherwise just one day. In this way, the moon is tracked using an approximation of 29 1/2 days. But that's just a little too short, so every time all the bands line up, an extra day is added.....

But seriously, though. It's the sifter for a parmisan cheese shaker. -- Victor

What I meant to say (I often get misunderstood because I express myself so extremely poorly): This really is a great entry in every respect. Composition, light, motif and the very very funny title. I can feel I'm going to vote for it already now. It's hillarious and done with all the technical splendor it can possibly take. Cross my heart and hope to die.

Welcome to planet Earth, Alien Artist. I like how you have disguised your UFO as a hub-cap. Simple minds might think it is a hub-cap. But we know better, don't we. *wink* *wink* *wink* (The Secret Signal of Comradery Between Universally Acclaimed Artists)
