How good are you guys?... yes it is a water vortice (vortex) formed by spinning a magnetic stirrer at high speed and yes the LHS is the glass cylindrical container vertical side. Photographed at a 'Science Works' exhibition. ... but who did it?

My guess would be a water tornado within the top of two 2- or 3- litre bottles connected to each other by their spouts. Spin the water around, and as it drains, it forms this shape. Perhaps that's even the edge of the bottle on the left or an internal reflection. -- Victor

Nicely captured. Can't exactly say what this is, but looks like a tornado funnel in water/liquid. I have seen something like this created in a chem lab with magnetic stirrers. Is this something on those lines? well seen and captured. -Cat
