Thanks!

Matt, the wife would not let me get the nitro kit. 8-)

Pretty cool. Where is the nitro boost flame? Just kidding. It actually looks like panning. Great PP.

Matt.

Great shot and good PP to give this a sense of speed. CJ

I've just came back from servicing my ridgline at the local Honda dealer. I was browsing their catalogs while waiting. Your image rivals theirs (may be you should try to sell it!). Very nice indeed. Sam Attal

Thanks Lonnit and Michael.

Michael it was a simple motion blur and them I masked off the car. Then I did a radial blur on each of the wheels. It was fun to do. It was also my first time using masks, so that was a new twist also.

Great fun. I'd be interested to read more about how you accomplished the motion blur. -Michael

Very well done! BTW, do you know that a huge amount of the auto catalog photography is no longer? Yup, it's all computer generated, and it's really hurting the photogs. On a side note, also hurting, are the Carolina photogs who've lost the furniture biz, that's pretty much been moved to China. ~ Lonnit

Well executed, very clean. I get a "studio shot" feel here though, and a feeling the car stands still while the houses spin by. I see what you did to the wheels, but if the car was running at the speed the panning blur indicates, shouldn't they be more blurred?

You may have been thinking of a film "strobe" effect of course. And it isn't an 'impossible' image as such - doesn't defy laws of nature lol. An extra notch of "speed" credibility could be a hint of a faint blurry exhaust stripe behind the car. Even a driver ;) Then again.. might mess things up. I've looked at several times now anyway - just had to comment. Hope this qualifies as kind!

May I upload a mockup to Pending btw? Just a very silly quickie playing with motion blur.
