It usually takes me about three shots to get the exposure close to right. The problem with a day like that day is that my glasses are transitions lens, they go black in bright sunlight. That makes it impossible to see any of the settings on my camera although I can usually make out the histogram. I just keep spinning the wheel until the histogram looks good! ~Sharon

Sorry 'bout that! I saw "program" in the exif and thought you had it on auto. I couldn't imagine how a camera would not destroy this on auto. So, fess up... how many frames did it take you to reach perfection? LOL! ;) ~ Lonnit

Gosh, thanks Lonnit! Not on auto, I always shoot in manual. ~Sharon

Fantastic exposure! And that was on auto? A helluva camera to pull this off! Wonderful composition. Good story. There is absolutely nothing to nitpick here! Kudos to you!!! Excellent work. Pat yourself on the back! ~ Lonnit

Thanks, Mary Anne! I was pleased with how well the camera worked in such cold temps. ~Sharon

I like the long curved line in the composition, Sharon, and the shadow pointing forward to suggestion a continuation of that line. And aren't you brave, going outside in such weather?
