Thanks, Sharon. Yes, off-beat about sums it up, but that's a result of the Photojournalism class I'm taking, where the instructor keeps pushing me to experiment a bit more. "Try taking pictures you're not sure you'll like," he says. I'll be interested in hearing what he has to say about this one. I had actually considered croppping off that gray on the right, but decided that it was balancing the gray of the shadows. I'll have to give it more thought.

A very interesting off-beat portrait, Mary Anne. It takes a little getting used to but I have come to like it quite a bit in the last few days. I find the grey and white on the right edge a bit distracting, might it be cropped or cloned out? ~Sharon
