Julie, Alex and Olaf thank you so much for your kind comments. Olaf, that is quite a compliment to have my work compared to Anna's. I have for sometime admired her skill.
Julie, actually this is not of a fairy tale, though there are references in of literature to a tailor and his goose.
Come in; tailor; here you may roast your goose. Shakespeare: Macbeth
I always thought this literally meant the tailor would roast a goose for food, but actually, a tailor's goose is that little iron pictured on the right and used to iron seams. The neck of the iron resembles the neck of a goose, so its name. The iron in the middle is called the box because the back opens and a hot iron could be place inside. Cheers, Leo
I imagine the title was inspired by a fairy tale? I'd love to know the story. Good work with this pic. I, too was thinking of irons, but nothing as imaginative as this. Julie
