Simply Fabulous Traveller, I really really like this one.

Cheers, Vikas.

Excellent find Traveller! This is pretty much the type of image I initially went out looking for to submit for this challenge, but couldn't find anything decent in my neck of the woods. I like the message that I think you were trying to convey here, did you mean to compare nature's cloud with one made by man? ;)... Martin (mschf)

Thats good Trav... but it is often a bit difficult not to totally distort things. I usually 'Ctrl A' to select all (at original stage) and then Edit/Transform/distort or skew depending upon the image character. Using distort rather than other options allows independant movement of any corner or side of the image... with careful 'pulling' and sometimes 'pushing' the bottom inwards can straighten things much better without impacting upon the opposite side of the image.

Usually though, it leaves a little side stripe of white border which you may be able to crop off or 'clone in' if you don't want to lose a critical part of the image.

Thanks for your vote of confidence Trav, but I assure you that I don't know anywhere near as much about PS as many regulars in this challenge. I just spend heaps of hours playing and trying new things (and getting 'flack' frequently for it!!) because I am semi-retired and can do that. I find it interesting and it gives me more creative ideas for transferring into oils on canvas. ~ Regards Bob

Better? Though maybe I should start from scratch again. Best Wishes, Traveller

Very Good Point Mel, but I did use PS>Transform>Skew & Distort to straighten up the blackish chimney....but doing two of them, in opposite directions...was beyond my abilities at this time. How would you do it? I figure you'd know....lol...knowing everything as you do. Best Wishes, Traveller (ps I even closed it, opened it again, but pulling the red one, dislodged the black...but I will try again later)

Nice capture Traveller, I like the crispness and bright colours. I usually like to straighten up objects using edit/transform/distort when they are close to the border such as the LHS tower but that of course is personal preference. ~ Regards Melbob

Actually, Mary Anne, that would be an exciting image...30 or 40 years ago. Of course you'd have to scan it....but still, it might be very much fun to see. Best Wishes, Traveller

Where was this shot, Trav? I grew up in the Pittsburgh area when it was in its heyday, but most of those steel mills with their blast furnaces are closed now. I'll have to look through my old film photos from 30-40 years ago to see if I can find a good one to share.
