This is one found repetition you are very proud of, I am sure, Lonnit

Aw, thanks, Shu. Yes, I bought the cheapest I could find. LOL! I got a Smith Victor 3 pc kit - (2) 500watt & (1) 250watt lights (continuous), on two regular stands and one boom, for a hairlight. Comes with 2 umbrellas. I also, just this month, got another 500watt with a softbox. I can't find my 18" reflector, so I just yesterday, ordered a 42" with a stand & adjustable arm. I also just got a posing stool about two weeks ago. This particular shot only used one 500watt with a brolly, with window light as fill - hence the blueness of the shadow. It was a quickie setup, so the lighting isn't the best, and the guys were wound up, not really wanting to stand still. But, under the circumstances, I was happy with the results - AND, it got Grandpa off my case by finally getting him some uncandid shots! LOL! ~ Lonnit

You did good!!! So much better than "school" shots and obviously done with a mother's loving touch. shu

...did I read somewhere that you invested in some studio lighting??

Thank you so much, Shu. The background is actually my livingroom wallpaper! The expressions are them, the pose was mine. I still buy thier clothes in coordinating colors - one doesn't care, the other likes it. This day was school picture day. Year, after year, they come home with garbage pictures... off color, OOF, faces too small in the frame, terrible expressions... just terrible. This year, I wasn't going to go thru the same routine of getting them, returning them, getting retakes, returning them, and HOPING I get my $ back. So, I paid for the class pix only, and then when they got home from school on picture day, I did a shoot with them. Not that I did the best job in the world, but it blew away any of that worthless stuff the school photogs took.

This guy's playing Mr. Serious here:

Thanks, Sam, they're a handful-and-a-half, and an absolute laugh riot! As for your question, if you go over to the birds-on-the-wire shot, and ask those guys to round up some bees, I'm sure they'll be happy to provide you with a lesson. ;) LOL! ~ Lonnit

(I'm doing a little "ps")--I DO love this image, Lonnit. One of your best, IMO! What background did you use? I love the expressions and pose, the colors are soo coordinated and the frame is perfect. Well, can I say more.....??? LOL shu

Lonnit, how do you "plan one baby". I would love to know the secret :)
BTW, lovely kids, enjoy! Sam Attal

Ok, technically I did create the repetition, but is was involuntary - although I'd always wished for it! LOL! ~ Lonnit

I must protest that this is shot does not fit the theme. The rules specifically state:

"The only caveat is that they must be found. Don't set 'em up or create the repetition yourself."

Thanks, Shu. Actually, their glasses are different. The lenses are a slightly different shape, but the frames are different colors, so there's a hint for people to tell them apart. One has brown frames, the other has blue. :) ~ Lonnit

Its a beautiful shot and their glasses match, too. shu
