This is great Nico! I like your interpretation of the topic and the way you put together the shot. The BG is great and I like the composition and lighting too. You have been putting your wire sculptures to good use in these challenges! CJ

Thanks, Vikas and Susan, for the kind comments. :-)

Vikas, I would not even know where to start to build something like this! But I love visiting some of the informal traders and curb-side vendors in South Africa who sell anything from trees to 'bikes... and from elephants to mobile phones... all made from wire and beads. Their creativity and ingenuity impress me very deeply, I guess. This radio is quite small and was probably only around $2.00 or so. But I should really one day post a shot of a somewhat larger version of such a radio that actually works - even though it is also mostly see-thru!

This is a cool shot! One of my favorites so far.

Good one Nico, the b/g is lovely. You sure collect these wire objects or do you make them? Very interesting I have to say.

Cheers, Vikas.

Thanks, Sharon. Thanks, Bob. I appreciate you taking the time out to comment.

In spite of appearances, this is pretty much straight from the camera, i.e. no real PhotoShopping tricks involved. The "how it was done" explanation is athttp://www.pbase.com/jnconradie/image/72617171 - but I apologise in advance for a rather poor quality mobile phone picture.

Thanks and regards ~jnconradie

This is pretty clever Nico.. I havn't come to grips with how you worked the light source/s here but it is very effective. Love the wire frame art work and as Sharon has commented, the empty space concepts of the wire frame and the 'invisible' radio wave concept are right on-topic. Terrific.. regards ~ Bob

Beautifully done shot, love the color! This reminds me of my occasional thoughts about radio waves - how can they travel around in "empty" space and still make music when they hit my radio? Good work! ~Sharon
