Nothing 'black' about that forest at the moment? If you could email some of that snow down here we would appreciate it... not much water left down here! ~Regards Bob.

Now THAT'S what I call a white Christmas. Well done.

Thanks for the comments y'all. This bench is out in the open (with a view of Pikes Peak) where the snow is blown 'away' by wind. This was the first sunny day after the second blizzard and I had trudged knee-deep or deeper for half a mile to get to it, whew!! Sam, I took about 10 shots of this bench and see exactly what you mean about the shadows, but alas, this was the best of the 10, seems to me; a learning experience, for sure. I hadn't thought to just *take them out*, so I did that. I added a bit of Diffuse glow, as well, to make it a little more overcast looking. What do you think? More snow is on the way at the end of the week, so maybe between now and then I'll trot down to have another shoot. Cheers, -mikey

I wonder if you had a chance to play with the shadows a little in relationship to the bench back. I know how hard it is to wait in a weather like this and I figure you did not want to add foot prints around. I like the image. Sam Attal.

Nicely spotted and captured! That looks so intensely cold and un-welcoming, my goodness. I cannot imagine what it must be like with so much of the "white stuff" all around one, especially once it starts melting. Congratulations on turning the scene into a classic photograph. Regards ~jnconradie

You're really getting hit with the snowstorms Mikey, but you're putting them to good use! Nice shot! :-) CJ
