Thank you for all your kind words. I wish I was this clever. I attributed to the concept to writer Louis L'amour in the original photo I posted. (Which I've since taken down.) L'amour's fictional family ranch was called the "Empty" for Em Talon. It was the first thing I thought of when I saw the challenge topic.
