Thanks, all. BTW, this one just got a ribbon at camera club competition this week. :)

Bob, I didn't "choose" the magenta tones. This is a montage of the woman and tree, blended with a separate image of the moon. The "haze" at the bottom of the image, that looks like fog on the ground, is actually a streak of cloud that was below the moon. It must have been picking up some of the magenta toning from the moon that night.

This image is one of my first attempts at montaging. ~ Lonnit

Great composition and beautiful tones.

I would be interested in your thinking as to why you chose to use a magenta hue at the base of the tree? To me this seems to make the tree trunk less distinct and a little confused in that particular area?

I see the 'misty haze' receding behind the woman but no so distinctly behind the tree? Most probably I would have darkened the trunk a little at this point.

I know you would have chosen to do this, I always enjoy your posts... so hence my question?

I really love the tree, the moon and the lady composed as you have, it is a terrific composition. ~ Regards, Bob

Ohh. I like that :) Lovely colors, and everything else! I don't know why, though, but I'd probably crop a tad off of the bottom. I'd probably take off about 1/3 of the dark area if that makes any sense. Fantastic shot. Jim H.
