Having worked my way down to the position to take this shot, needless to say, I took a dozen in both directions. The actual scene is and was much darker...through levels, curves and simple contrast I've worked this puppy hard....because there seems to be something essential and true in it.

But do I prefer the darker version, more forboding? Who knows, but I do know I've got to quit this for a while.
